our story

the proposal

A & I have been dating since October 2004. On January 31, 2009, we went to San Francisco for the day. We drove around the city for a bit, hung out near the beach and caves by Cliff House, headed over to the Presidio, and then went to Chrissy Field next to the Golden Gate Bridge. We spread out a blanket on the grass and relaxed for a few minutes. A stood up to take my picture. He then told me to stand up so I could take a picture of him on the blanket. As I stood up and turned around to take his picture, he was on one knee holding the ring. I was totally surprised! Of course I said yes! Afterwards, we just sat on our blanket for an hour soaking it all in. It was a great proposal.
